I wish I saw pieces like this more often in the DD. Imagine how boring this piece would be if it were just a photoreal/representational drawing of someone on a tightrope and a woman standing there watching.
Yeah, drawing something representationally is more or less simply stating what it is. Painting it with unusual colors and out-of-place perspectives and/or textures tells a whole other story. In fact it can speak the ineffable or other ideas that photography does not necessarily. I get this notion while looking at your work and work like it. It's fantastic.
